The Château de l'Isle has welcomed hosts from 5 continents and 43 countries since 2012

The Château de l'Isle, nestled in lush greenery over 6 hectares in Castelnau de Médoc, ideally located on the ‘route des Vins du Médoc’, at equal distance from Bordeaux and Lacanau Ocean, is thanks to its delightful setting and its premium services, the place to be for those who enjoy something different.

"Amazing place to stay", "Pure Pleasure", “A peaceful, pastoral Medoc paradise!", “Luxury secret place”, “An absolute gem!!”... according to comments from our hosts.

We are delighted to have welcome since 2012 hosts from 5 continents and 43 countries : 42% France, 36% EU outside France, 10% Europe outside EU, 6% North America, 3% Oceania, 2% Asia, 1% South America.

Brits (11%), Benelux residents (10%), German and Swiss (6%) are the most present on the Domaine de l'Isle.

We propose to our hosts to discover the region and notably the treasures within Medoc through guides prepared by ourselves and available in French and English.

We have personally visited each place we recommend in these guides. This allows us to provide the best advice to our hosts, especially those from abroad.

The first guide relates to the different activities (walks and bikes rides, horse-riding, golf, windsurfing, surf, water ski...) with a focus on 20 or so good places to eat, mainly in Médoc but also in Bassin d'Arcachon, Cap-Ferret and Bordeaux.

The second guide is a Tour of 26 Wine Châteaux from the 8 different Médoc ‘appellations’, with our own favorites.

Thanks to having worked abroad, I speak fluently English, German and Spanish, which comes very handy when we chat with our hosts about their day’s visits or next day’s ones, a time we cherish especially.

For Château de l'Isle, our priority is our hosts’ satisfaction with a service in line with the exceptional setting of the Domaine. Our Guests book is always available in our reception hall, an Award of Excellence from Booking.com for 2014 has been presented to us thanks to a 9.3 rating out of 10, rating unchanged to this day, with 9.8 for cleanliness, 9.5 for comfort, 9.4 for the facilities...

The last words to some our hosts who describe their experience at Château de l'Isle even better than us!

"We felt very much that it was like being a very special visitor in someone’s home as opposed to a paying guest. ", "This place is so impressive, so fantastically beautiful, the drive up leads you to a very elegant chateau, we had a lovely welcome, our room was stunning and a very delicious breakfast "…
